Grok released a 7-minute Odyssey episode after Musk promised a full-length film

Grok Imagine’s official account posted Episode 1 of its Odyssey series on October 23, 2026. The post credits Wonder Studios and director Dev Walker. That is a concrete release, but it does not settle the larger promise. Elon Musk said on July 22 that Grok Imagine would make a full-length Odyssey film by the end of 2026. An earlier official project update said Wonder Studios built a pilot in 15 days. The episode exists; the full film remains unverified.

SpaceXAI releases Grok 4.6 matching GPT-5.6 Sol performance at 60% lower price

SpaceXAI has released Grok 4.6, marking a significant shift in frontier AI model pricing and performance. On the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index, Grok 4.6 scored 61 points, tying OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol and trailing only Anthropic's Claude Opus 5 (63) and Claude Fable 5 (62). On real-world agentic computer tasks measured by GDPval-AA v2, Grok 4.6 ranked second overall with an Elo rating of 1,753. The model completed complex multi-step workflows in an average of 53 steps, compared to 103 steps required by Claude Opus 5. Pricing remains fixed at $2 per million input tokens and $6 per million output tokens, making it over 60 percent cheaper than both Claude Opus 5 ($5/$25) and GPT-5.6 Sol ($5/$30). The model is available immediately via API, Cursor, and major cloud providers.

Grok's Foul-Mouthed AI "Translation" Feature Puts Unspeakably Ghoulish Words Into Users' Mouths

Elon Musk's Grok translation tool on X translates innocent posts into explicit NSFW text

Social media platform X's automatic translation feature, powered by Elon Musk's Grok chatbot, has come under criticism for converting innocent, family-friendly posts into explicit and pornographic text. Multiple users have reported that the tool hallucinates offensive descriptions for ordinary videos and photos. In 1 instance, a South Korean user posting a clip of 2 video game characters found their post translated into incestuous pornography. Similarly, a Turkish post featuring a picture of a kitten was translated into a pedophilic statement, prompting a community note correction on the platform. Tech analysts point out that these translation failures highlight systemic quality issues on X since Elon Musk's acquisition in 2022. The translation errors are attributed to AI hallucinations, where the model relies on a training database overloaded with informal and vulgar slang, prioritizing explicit meanings.

Pentagon confirms Elon Musk's Grok AI was used to target 2,000 air strikes in Iran war

In a sworn federal court declaration, Pentagon artificial intelligence chief Cameron Stanley confirmed that the US military used Elon Musk's proprietary Grok AI to select and coordinate bombing targets. The system was reportedly used to fire over 2,000 munitions at 2,000 distinct targets within a 96-hour window. The confirmation emerged during a major Clean Air Act lawsuit filed by the NAACP against xAI. The lawsuit alleges that xAI illegally deployed portable combustion turbines that filled adjacent Black and working-class neighborhoods with toxic fumes to power its AI data centers. The DOJ and the Pentagon are now pressuring the federal judge to dismiss the case, citing Grok's operation as a matter of "paramount national security." The air campaign in Iran has claimed at least 3,468 lives, including a strike on the Shajareh Tayyebeh girls' school that killed 156 people, including over 100 children. While the military previously used Anthropic's Claude to select targets, officials refused to confirm whether Claude was used specifically for the school bombing.
